Definition

Curcuminoids are a classification of molecules which include compounds that are modified versions of curcumin, and curcumin itself. Curcumin is often modified for medicinal purposes as, in its true form, it does not dissolve well in water, nor is it very bioavailable or easily absorbed by the body.
