Definition

Zucchini is a vegetable of the Cucurbita genus and the gourd family, Cucurbitaceae.

Health considerations

This vegetable contains no saturated fat or cholesterol and is very low in calories. It is also a very good source of Dietary Fiber, Vitamin C, Vitamin K, Riboflavin, Vitamin B6, Folate, Magnesium, Potassium and Manganese.
