Garlic chives are the long-stemmed leaves produced from Allium tuberosum onions. Garlic chives are popular in Chinese cuisine and are also commonly referred to as Chinese chives.

Garlic chive extracts have antimicrobial effects on a variety of strains of bacteria including Staph. aureus and E. coli.
