Definition

Boysenberries are the berries of a species of plant made by crossing European raspberry, common blackberry, American dewberry and loganberry plants. Boysenberries have a deep maroon color. 

Health considerations

Boysenberries are a good source of vitamin C and vitamin K, and a very good source of fiber, folate and manganese. One study found that a mixture of boysenberry juice and vinegar helped reduce blood pressure and improve endothelial function.
