Definition

Acetamiprid is a neonicotinoid insecticide used in a variety of fruit and vegetables. See: Neonicotinoids.

Health considerations

Acetamiprid is fairly selectively toxic to its target insects. In animal studies of rats, mice, rabbits, and dogs, the effects of very high intake generally include reduced body weight and effects on organ growth.
