Argon is a non-reactive, non-toxic gas used in food packaging to eliminate oxygen which can cause oxidation and to inhibit growth of bacteria.

Health considerations

Argon gas does not modify other chemical compounds in food and is non-toxic, particularly in the levels regulated for use in food production.

Wine, fruit juice, vegetable juice, lettuce, pizza, chips, processed meat
